Construction website design

Show the work.
Explain the next step.

Custom websites for builders, refurbishment firms and specialist contractors who need their online presence to reflect the business they run today.

Help a prospective customer understand the projects you take on, see relevant work and send an enquiry your team can use.

For an established business

The website should keep up with the work.

Perhaps your firm now undertakes larger refurbishments, but the site still reads like a short list of jobs. Or the projects are good, yet the gallery gives a visitor no sense of your role. A redesign starts by deciding what people need to know before they contact you.

For a homeowner, that may be the kind of extension you build and the areas you cover. For a commercial buyer, the questions may concern sector experience, project responsibilities and the information needed for an initial review. We write the page plan around the customers you actually serve.

I handle the design and development directly. You review a working preview, rather than having to picture the finished website from a proposal. The visual style comes from your business and photography; the content explains what the photographs alone cannot.

A useful construction
website has a job to do.

These are planning options. We agree the pages and functions your business needs before quoting the build.

Explain the right services
Separate genuinely different work, such as residential extensions and commercial refurbishment. Each page should explain suitability, scope and the next step, rather than repeat the same sales paragraph.
Give projects context
For approved work, show the brief, your role, the work undertaken and photographs with meaningful captions. Publish locations, customer names and results only when you can substantiate them and have permission.
Make enquiries useful
Agree the few details your team needs: project type, broad location, stage and a short description. Make the form work on a phone and give the visitor a clear confirmation. Uploads and CRM routing need an explicit scope.
Keep business facts current
Explain the areas you genuinely serve. Use approved qualifications and accreditation wording, with current evidence. Decide who will update project pages and contact details after launch.

Oak & Form is a fictional kitchen studio built for the portfolio. Explore its projects, materials and room planner to see how a visual website can help someone prepare a useful brief.

It demonstrates design and interaction, rather than results for a commissioned construction client. A planner like this is a separately scoped feature; a simpler service website may be all your business needs.

Scope before features

A clear proposal.
A build you can review.

The standard packages cover defined brochure and service websites: up to 5, 7 or 10 core pages, with agreed editing and review allowances. A project archive, large catalogue, content-management system, stock connection or custom application needs its own scope; it is not automatically included in Extended.

Standard delivery is 3–7, 7–10 or 10–14 calendar days for Essentials, Established or Extended. These are calendar days from the start date we agree, once your content and access are ready. Your proposal confirms the schedule. The scope and initial payment are agreed before work starts, and prompt feedback is needed for reviews. More involved functionality has an agreed schedule of its own.

You supply accurate business details, draft copy and images you have permission to use. Full copywriting, photography, external subscriptions and ongoing SEO are separate unless included in your proposal. Agreed bespoke files and content transfer after final payment, with a handover; the domain stays in your business’s name.

Before we start.

Can you replace our website while keeping business email?

Usually, the website and mailboxes can remain with separate providers. Before launch we check domain access, current mail records, important URLs and forms. The agreed migration plan protects the services you need to keep.

Will you write our project case studies?

The build includes the editing allowance in your chosen package. You provide the facts and approved photography. Interviewing your team and writing full case studies can be quoted separately; I won’t invent project results or credentials.

Does the build include ongoing SEO?

The proposal identifies the search foundations included at launch. Continuing content, search work and reporting have a separate scope. No build package guarantees positions, leads or tender invitations.
